Bernie Grant Arts Centre

Originally opened for the purpose of showcasing the best of local, national and international artistic talents, The Bernie Grant Arts Centre now is accessible to all, providing hi-tech facilities for the general population and emerging creative businesses. The centre also provides exceptional facility with 274-seat auditorium, studio/rehearsal spaces, café/bar, enterprise centre, open space, the centre is a great place for education and cultural development. Be sure to check it out next to the Town Hall in Tottenham.

If you’re more active and enjoy keeping on your feet, THE BGAC is eaxtly the place you wanna be. The BGAC has a full programme of events and activities from plays, cinema and dance classes to a weekly jazz lounge.

STYX

With theatre performances and live music, STTX is a space perfect for a bit of story telling. Founded by Felix and Josh, 2 theatre makers, STYX holds performances, music, workshops and theatre for N17.

In addition to the more artsy activities, they also offer yoga, play writing and also Tai Chi.  If you’re looking for something to calm the mind, be sure to give it a go!

Bruce Castle

Bruce Castle, a 16 century manor house is Tottenham’s first public museum which became available to the public in 1906. Not only is it a museum, but it currently houses the Borough of Haringey’s local history collections, archives and art exihibitions. Interesting fact: the current house is one of the oldest surviving English brick houses!

Markfield Beam Engine & Museum

Built in 1886  by Wood Brothers, The Markfield Beam Engine and Musuem is a former sewage treatment works for Tottenham which now forms part of Markfield Park. The works operated for roughly 100 years up until all the incoming sewers were diverted to the extended East Middlesex Works at Deephams.

Being fully renovated and restored, The Beam Engine House is currently available to the general public with both the Beam Engine and Engine House are Grade II listed.

Tottenham Art Classes

Tottenham Art Classes run art classes in the local area of Tottenham. Classes found include weekly Watercolour painting classes at the Lordship Hub Co-op, weekly Life Drawing sessions  at the Beehive Pub.

These classes allow for the ability to learn, grow and widen your horizons in terms of creativity. it brings together a community of unique yet like-minded people to participate in something creative closer to home.

Tottenham Chances

Tottenham Chances are a community organisation specializing in the arts, music, theatre and community projects. The venue produces the very best talent in London and is a platform for potential artists. Feel free to pop down if you have an eye for creativity or if you’re interested to try new things!

Tottenham Chances is home to an eclectic mix of performances and events from punk and ska nights to weekly yoga and slimming classes.
